- We have an exciting addition to our busy Grade 1 classroom. Alice, a local high school student, will be helping out for a couple of hours on Wednesday afternoons. She is looking for some experience in an English atmosphere and we are happy to have the extra help. Yesterday she helped us make some props for our Language Festival performance. Exciting times!
- Today I returned the graded math tests. Students are to bring them home and get a parent's signature and return them tomorrow.
- In Social Studies we continued to talk about good citizenship and offer real examples of what this looks like in our day to day life. It was a great class discussion. We were even able to answer some questions on our Know, Want, Learn chart.
- We talked more about living and non living things and reflected on our pre-assessment activity from yesterday. Tomorrow we will be going on an investigation outside. Stay tuned!
- In Reading and Phonics we are wrapping up our Where Food Comes From story and will begin a new on. We also spent some time rehearsing for the Language Festival.
- Homework
I drew a picture of my pet rock and I swimming at the beach. We like to go there on weekends to play in the water....
