Hello,
I hope everyone is enjoying their day. A few reminders for tomorrow's Community Development:
1. Please remember to wear P.E. uniforms tomorrow and to bring a cleaning cloth.
2. I would like to remind students that tomorrow is an opportunity for us to give back to the community and it is important that we be on our best behaviors. We are guests and should treat the people and places we visit with respect. Please help me to talk with your children about this before tomorrow's trip. We did spend time talking about it today but rehearsal this afternoon was a little rambunctious so I would appreciate your support in reinforcing the importance of good behavior and respectfulness to them. Thank you!
Homework
In Social Studies we have begun to talk about what it means to be a good citizen. On that note, something I have been working on since the beginning of the year is creating a safe and accepting atmosphere among our class. Change starts with each and every one of us before it can spread to the greater community. For homework, I want students to think of two personal goals. One should be about how to a better student and the second how to be a better classmate/friend. These need to be written out on the paper provided and we will transfer them to a poster which will act like a pledge in our classroom. I urge students to be thoughtful in this assignment. I am more concerned about the thought and inspiration behind their goals rather than the spelling or sentence structure. We can edit them together. For tonight, please just write them out as best as they can. I have included an example below.
1. I would like to try and read questions by myself before I ask my teacher to read it for me.
2. I will try and be nicer to my classmates by letting them play with me at break.
