Hello again,

We had a good day today. The students did well identifying beginning and ending consonants during our Phonics lesson. In Language and Spelling we spent some time defining new words and trying to use them in sentences. Our Social Studies class was spent talking about good ways to work together. We had a really good class discussion and came up with steps to work together successfully.

Science Homework

We have been talking about the five senses recently. To prepare for a science experiment tomorrow I would like students to bring in a small piece of food (it can be whatever they usually bring in for snacks). Students should be prepared to talk about what their senses tell them about this food.

For example,

 

Watermelon

Sight: It is pink and green.

Smell: It smells good.

Taste: It tastes sweet and juicy.

Hearing: It sounds crunchy when I eat it.

Touch: It is cold and soft.

They are not required to write anything down. We will share as a class tomorrow.
