Second Quarter Math Exam Review

  • matching numbers to quantities (ex. 000 = 3    00 00 = 4    0=1)
  • be able to determine which number is greater or lesser in a set
  • understand the terms, greater, less, fewer, few
  • be able to create and use a number line
  • know the order of numbers going forward and backward
  • be able to fill in the blanks in a set of numbers (ex. 1 ___ 2,  ___ 4, 5, 6, 7, ____)
  • read word problems, recognize math vocabulary, and draw pictures and/or number lines to try and solve the problems
  • solve addition number and word problems (4+2= ____ and four plus two equals _____)
  • match numerals to written numbers up to 15 (one = 1)
  • addition concepts
  • subtraction concepts 
  • addition and subtraction word problems
  • represent data with tally marks
  • analyse a tally chart to answer questions
  • make, read and use a pictograph to compare information
  • read, make, and use a bar graph to compare information
  • make a bar graph from the information in a tally chart
  •  use bar graphs to solve problems
  • be able to use different addition and subtraction strategies through 10 (example: using a number line, counting on, counting back)
