Happy Friday everyone!

We had a good time today reading our story "The Big Trip!" in our Reading class. I introduced the students to the fantasy genre and they offered a lot of great reasons for why this imaginative story was fantasy and not "real."

In Language and Spelling we went over nouns, verbs, and practiced picking out the naming and action part of a sentence.
In Math class we continued to learn about addition. We practiced reversing the position of the numbers to see how they still made up the same sum. Example, 2+5=7 and 5+2=7
We also learned that different numbers can make the same sum. For example,
1+9=10
2+8=10
3+7=10
4+6=10
5+5=10

There will be no assigned Social Studies homework this weekend. Students are asked to use some time over the weekend to prepare for next weeks exams. All exam review material can be found in previous posts, as well as exam etiquette and schedules.
