1st Quarter Reading Exam Review

 

Grade 1 students will have their 1st quarter Reading exam during third period on Wednesday October 9, 2013.  For this exam students will be tested on the following concepts:

• Read simple sentences and choose the one that is not about the main idea
• recognize the main idea in a group of sentences
• choose supporting details in a group of sentences
• be able to read a short excerpt from Lesson 16: Let's Go to the Moon! (this can be found on pages 18-31) and answer multiple choice questions
• Some words that students should be able to recognize and read:                                                 Moon
• rocket ship
• lunar rover
• blast
• space
• crater
• pictures
• footprints
• surface
• plants
• animals
